Jeff Dilks, Senior Director of Learning Studios, oversees the implementation and strategic growth of the school transformation projects. Prior to NCTAF, Jeff worked with IBM Global Services to support the Department of Energy’s educational and teacher professional development programs, providing strategic planning, policy analysis, program development, and support for programs that served K-12 teachers, K-12 students, and college students. Jeff was a classroom teacher in both rural and suburban school districts in Iowa for fifteen years, where he taught physics, earth science, and astronomy, as well as talented and gifted classes. As science department chair, Jeff led committees that addressed curriculum, budget, and the school day structure. In 2006, Jeff was selected by the Department of Energy as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow. He holds an MS from Iowa State University and a BA in Physics from the University of Illinois.
