6:00 – 7:00 p.m. (ET)
The A4L competition deadline is June 10, 2016.
The application criteria are available here.
Stephanie Hirsh, Executive Director, Learning Forward
Janice Poda, Senior Consultant, Learning Forward
Seth Gerson, Director of Government Relations, National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
Steve Robinson, Senior Policy Fellow, Teach Plus
Melinda George, President, National Commission on Teaching & America’s Future (moderator)
Please join Learning Forward and the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future (NCTAF) for the third in a series of webinars to support the Agents for Learning (A4L) competition. This is a special opportunity for all educators who are planning to submit applications for the A4L competition to have your questions answered. Do you have:
- Questions about ESSA?
- Questions about the A4L application or scoring process?
- Questions about A4L Chicago presentations?
- Questions about what happens after Chicago?
Join us for this chat. We will not be making a presentation. We will have experts on hand who will field your questions, point you to resources, and provide support!
We want all educators to feel ready to participate in the A4L competition but, more importantly, we want educators to feel ready to engage at the state and district levels in the ESSA implementation process. We need teachers to play an active role alongside policymakers and state and district leaders as they build systems for implementation.
This webinar is open and encouraged for all educators, especially those who will be participating in the A4L competition. You are encouraged to submit questions for the experts in advance (during registration) as well as bringing your thoughts and questions to the webchat (using the Chat feature). For logistical questions, please email Ryan Brookshire at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject A4L.
If you are unable to attend the webinar, a recording will be made available after the event at Learning Forward’s Agents for Learning resources page. There you can also find recordings and slideshows from our first two webinars: April 27’s “ESSA 101 for Educators” and May 11’s “Professional Development in ESSA.”
We look forward to hearing from you on the May 25th webchat!
